WEB PAGE DESIGN
Now that my festival poster design is finished, I can concentrate on the second part of my brief to make a web site design, signage and packaging.
After looking at loads of web pages I decided to head down a modern route rather than a traditional one making my web page interactive and orderly.
A rather nifty idea I came across was having live tiles which changed every so often showing the latest news headlines and images. I am going to design 3 pages in total, the home page, food festival page and a product page. Each page will feature a banner or header at the top with a link to the main festival page as well as showing the logo and main tabs down the left side. The home page will feature a live image gallery and video area.

I created a template on Illustrator to start me. It shows the positioning of each feature on the page, so all the needs to be done is add the content.
As I've now created a theme for my 2013 festival posters, I will carry this over to the header but it will be the only part featuring this theme. I want the web page to look vibrant with colour and easy to navigate so making everything clear is vital as its audience is aimed at all ages above 16 to about 70 or 80.
Here's what I've come up with
There's a few bits than need some playing around with and I'm feeling there might be a bit too much of the same colours from the blurred images I've used behind the text.
I will carry this design through to the other two pages I'm designing. Here are their templates:
