Final Major Project

This is it, my final project of my course and I want to go out with a bang. Here's the brief for my project. The brief basically explains we need to make our own brief, so I've posted my proposal as well. All in all, I want to created a 3-D pop-up book that illustrates the changing architecture in London over the years. I will focus on three areas, past, present a future. As this is a graphics project, the main part will be the creating of my imagery. I want this to be illustration based rather than photography based as it gives me the chance to show my interest in buildings and my skills on the computer. A couple of artists who have hugely inspired this project are Indonesian born Angga Tantama, and Quentin Blake. A Digital Playground

A DIGITAL PLAYGROUND In the middle of a planned town centre in Amsterdam, these light rocks appeared to brighten up a dire concrete town square. They are called Marbles and these are interactive rocks that combine LEDs, sensors, speakers and a shed load of other digital media to interact with the public. The idea is that these rocks respond to touch and sound, so when they are, they change colour and produce sound. Each rock is connected to the other so they all work simultaneously to one another. The designers of this installment come from Studio Roosegaarde . They create many other pieces similar to this that respond to touch and sound.
