CREATING MY POSTER
The first technique i experimented with was the cutting with paper which I talked about previously. The next one is printing on perspex. this involved using printing inks on a sheet of perspex and pressing paper on to to get an image. I've written more about this on a page I scanned from my sketchbook below. The method of this is simple really, just get a sheet of perspex, roll on some printing ink, draw an image using the back of a pen or similar into the paint, place paper on top and press to transfer the image onto paper.
The examples below were using paper cut outs to make the images. I used wine bottles to keep it simple for my first attempt with the process.
I'm really liking this organic feel the images have. This could really emphasise the 'organic' of the festival I'm advertising giving it that cared for look.
Using Paula Scher as an influence, I layered some text over one of my images. This could possibly be a concept I'll be taking towards my final design.
